All questions
How do I book Eric for a live performance or event?
-
Use the contact form or email the booking address directly. Include your event date, venue, location, capacity, and any genre or set-length requirements. Most inquiries get a response within two to three business days.
What genres does Eric play?
-
Eric's playing is rooted in blues, roots music, and soul — the deep wells of American popular music. His harmonic sensibility also reflects time spent with folk, Americana, and jazz. He doesn't box himself in stylistically — the goal is always to serve the song or the moment, not to defend a genre boundary.
Is Eric available for studio session work?
-
Yes. Session work is a core part of the practice. Eric is available for in-person studio sessions in Northern California as well as remote work — recorded to your spec and delivered as WAV files. Session inquiries should include project type, genre, approximate timeline, and any reference tracks that capture what you're after.
Does Eric teach guitar lessons?
-
Eric offers a limited number of private lessons for intermediate to advanced players. Lessons focus on technique refinement, blues and roots approaches, practical music theory, and navigating the professional side of being a working musician. Availability is limited — reach out to inquire about current openings.
What guitar and gear does Eric use?
-
The short answer: it depends entirely on the session or show. The working rig includes acoustic and electric instruments chosen for what the moment calls for. Specifics and the reasoning behind each choice are covered in the gear writing on the blog.
How far in advance should I book?
-
For live dates, four to six weeks is a reasonable minimum for regional shows; longer for major events or festival slots that require routing decisions. Studio sessions can often move faster. Reach out as early as possible in your planning process and we'll work from there.
Will Eric travel for out-of-state performances?
-
Yes. Eric tours regionally throughout California and beyond. Travel availability depends on routing, but out-of-state inquiries are always welcome. For fly-date bookings, include your budget range so travel logistics can be evaluated properly.
Does Eric do co-writing sessions?
-
Selectively. Co-writes work best when both parties have a clear sense of direction and a real willingness to let the song be the boss. If you have a project in mind and the creative overlap feels real, reach out and describe it — that's the right starting point.
Where can I listen to Eric's music?
-
The full catalog is available on major streaming platforms. Links to each release are on the Media page. YouTube also has performance footage and studio process clips. Facebook and Instagram carry live updates and short-form content.
How can press and media request an interview or EPK materials?
-
Press inquiries and EPK requests go through the contact form or directly to the press email listed on the Media page. Include your outlet name and publication date. High-resolution photos and the full press bio are available on request.
